About BDS Program
The Business Development Services program (BDS), is a fully sponsored program by Aquasmat that aims at enhancing the aquaculture SMEs to gradually develop from startups, grow and finally expand. This program also helps the SMEs to be able to acquire or access financial support in form of loans from the financial institutions since they are trained on importance of business compliance and financial management. Through this program most SMEs have been able to experience positive growth in terms of sales and profits. Aquasmat looks forward to engage more partners to enable the program reach at least 1000 SMEs in the aquaculture sector.
Our project transforms perceptions of aquaculture's potential for entrepreneurship and employment, building knowledge and capacity so young people, especially women, can access the sector's growth opportunities.

Operating in Kisumu, Homa Bay, Siaya, Kakamega, Busia, Migori counties
Eligibility
Open to youth aged 18-35 years from the six target counties
